This luxury modern studio overlooks the Chalke Valley and has been converted and refurbished to the highest possible standard. The Calf Shed has been purposefully built to enable those who need accessible accommodation to have the most comfortable and relaxing stay whilst not compromising on style and aesthetics. The space boasts a calm and modern open plan living space, sliding doors, profiling beds, a level access wet room with shower chair and wheelchair access underneath the sink and cooker. The floor to ceiling glass facade offers the most beautiful views of the countryside and is perfectly situated for a relaxing getaway.

THE SPACE
The Calf Shed, perfectly situated within the Chalke Valley just off the A30, has been thoughtfully designed to facilitate the most relaxing and comfortable stay for those with mobility issues. It boasts a large and calm open plan living and dining space, with floor to ceiling sliding doors. The kitchen is designed with wheelchair users in mind, with lower level worktops and wheelchair access underneath the cooker and sink. The bedroom has a profiling bed, and an additional sofa bed in the lounge area.

Purpose built lower level worktops, side opening oven, four ring induction hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine.
Dining
The open plan dining area looks out over the countryside. Outside there is a flat patio area with a dining table, with full wheelchair access and a ramp.
Lounge
The barn offers a comfortable and relaxing lounge area, with comfortable, modern furnishings and a TV with terrestrial and Sky. The lounge also has a sofa bed should additional guests or carers need a separate place to sleep.

"This is the second time of many that we will stay at The (flawless) Calf Shed for a relaxing and recharging retreat. It has been just seven months since my spinal cord injury left me in a wheelchair. Needless to say, there is a lot to understand and come to terms with. Staying here with my partner has given us both the space, peace, views and perfect facilities to heal emotionally and physically. I don’t feel disabled here. I have access to everything, space to cook, time to relax, room to shower, electronic tilt-bed to sleep and the headspace to learn, understand and plan. The Calf Shed has stunning views of the historic downs and the Fovant Badges and is a truly peaceful and unique space. It is situated just a few miles from historic market towns such as Bath, Shaftesbury and Salisbury and nearby attractions such as the New Forest and Stonehenge. The Calf Shed is perfectly situated for a cosy getaway or relaxing break - guests can indulge and relax at the barn with a number of goods and services available including yoga, pilates, and bespoke food hampers. THE RESTORATION
In 2014, Gillie and Richard meticulously converted the former calf shed into a luxury one bedroom studio with panoramic views of the historic downs. Inspired by Horatio’s Garden at Salisbury District Hospital Spinal Unit, they have ensured that every step of the design process fulfils accessible accommodation requirements awarding its high rating for wheelchair users.
